I first knew I wanted to be a criminal defense attorney as a sophomore at Lewis & Clark College in Portland. I had been interested in criminal law and began working as a victim's advocate at the Washington County District Attorney's Office in Hillsboro, Oregon. That experience taught me how radically unfair the criminal justice system can be.
I decided to pursue a career as a criminal defense attorney. I wanted to dedicate myself to defending people's rights and fighting for those accused of crimes.
Throughout law school I worked in both criminal and immigration defense. Immediately after graduation I worked as the Judicial Clerk to Judge Steele in the Clackamas County Circuit Court in Oregon City. I began working with Vancouver Defenders in 2014. Since that time I have represented hundreds of clients in the Clark County Court on a range of cases.
